Questions About The Job Process:
When will work begin?
Once your estimate is approved and you have signed an signed authorization form, your file will be turned over to a project manager. He will call you to set up an initial meeting and will begin to schedule work.
[CLOSE]
Who will get my estimate to me?
Our office staff can fax email or mail the estimate to you. Pending your insurance company, the homeowner may be required to call them before they will release the estimate. If so, the insurance co will provide you with a copy of your estimate. [CLOSE]
How long will the restoration process take?
This depends on the amount of repairs and access to the home the homeowner will allow. Frequent travel and limited access to the home will slow the process invariably. The project manager will have a schedule lined up with the homeowner. [CLOSE]

Upon receipt of a signed authorization, your file is turned over to a project manager. He will meet with you, schedule all repairs, handle all questions/concerns you have and see your job through to the end. You will have one contact the entire restoration process. [CLOSE]

Your mortgage company holds an interest in your property, therefore they have a valid concern in whether the repairs are completed. There are times your mortgage company will have an inspector out to ensure work was done properly. [CLOSE]
Why does SRG need my loan information?
SRG acts as the intermediary in your claim process. Checks issued from your insurance company will be made payable to the homeowner, SRG and your mortgage company. To process your check, we must mail your check with our documents to the mortgage company. If we do not have this information, it stops the process of your claim. [CLOSE]
What do I do with my animals/pets during restoration process?
Repairing your property will regrettably interrupt the normal routine of your pet, however we will do our best to avoid them during the rebuilding process. To ensure the safety and well-being of your animals we recommend placing the animal(s) in an area of the house away from the work zone. It is our goal to finish and get everyone back to normal in a timely manner. [CLOSE]
Questions About SRG Forms:
What is an authorization form and why do I need to sign it?
An authorization form is a contract between SRG and the homeowner agreeing on a set amount of work for a set price. We must have a signed authorization before any work begins. You can email, fax, or mail the authorization form into SRG. Your estimator will leave one with you at your initial meeting. [CLOSE]
What is the purpose of these forms and why is it important that I sign and return these?
Questions About Roofing:
A roofing company left information on my door telling me I have hail damage.
Many roofing companies have begun going door to door implying that homeowners have hail damage. The roofers suggest the homeowner report the damage to their insurance company and possibly file a claim. Southeast Restoration Group is a preferred vendor, which means the insurance company will call SRG to go out and confirm the damage that the roofing company has discovered. We are a reputable company and will not take advantage of any party involved in the restoration process. If you do not have damage, then we will not report it as such. We will be happy to come out and check/confirm any damage you feel you may have to your roof. [CLOSE]
I got a new roof about a year ago; my roof is leaking again and I cannot locate the roofing contractor who did the work.
This is an unfortunate situation. The best course of action would be to find the roofing company and take this issue up with them. If you cannot locate them you will more than likely have to pay for the repairs out of pocket to get the situation resolved. SRG will gladly send an estimator in our roofing division out to take a look and find the best course of action at no charge to you. [CLOSE]
My roof is leaking, do I need a tarp?
To ensure that your home does not suffer further damage, you will need to stop the water source. At SRG, our objective is to minimize damage; therefore a tarp is effective in accomplishing that. Remember, a tarp is only a temporary solution. [CLOSE]
My neighbor had hail damage and got a new roof. Does this mean I most likely have damage as well?
It is a possibility; although we have seen cases where one roof is damaged and the other not. We will gladly send our HAAG Certified Roof Team out for an inspection. All insurance companies have different standards when it comes to “coverable” damage; scheduling our estimators to meet with your adjuster on site is an option we would be happy to oblige as well. [CLOSE]

Questions About General Repairs:
I see water damage but don’t know where the water is coming from.
SRG is available to come out and try to locate the water source. Even though we are not a leak detection company, there are times the source is very apparent /evident. In difficult situations another company will be called in to locate the leak. We can then repair the water source before we take on the damage the water has caused. [CLOSE]
I have damage to my hardwood floors. Are they salvageable?
In some cases, your floors will be salvageable or sometimes replacing is a better choice. Our estimator will know which option best fits your situation. [CLOSE]
I notice brown water spots on my walls and ceilings, what is this?
If you see water spots on your ceilings and/or walls, you have a water leak. You’ll need to have our roofing inspector out to try and locate the problem. He may see that a tarp is needed to prevent further damage. If not, he will simply turn an estimate for repair into your insurance company. Repairs will begin shortly after the estimate is approved. [CLOSE]
I have an area in my home where the floor is soft? What could be causing this?
It seems you may have a water leak that is affecting your subfloor. We will need to have our estimator out to assess the situation. If not handled, this situation could expand to other areas and cause greater damage to your home that could have been prevented. [CLOSE]

I would like to have additional work done while SRG is out repairing my home. The work doesn't necessarily have anything to do with mine and SRG’s initial meeting.
